Channels not working

For many months we have lost many channels.

we have re booted many times and this doesn't make any difference.

 

we recently had sky glass installed but didn't like it so now back to sky Q and still the same problem. Channels that we don't have inc:

sky sports 2

atlantic 

yesterday

 

the list goes on....

 

can you please help?

@Bernard+Sexton  Your post has been moved from the Sky Stream forum as you stated in your post you have Sky Q.

 

Sky Stream is a different system to Sky Q.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Any error messages on screen when trying to watch these channels?

 

What do you mean by Sky Sports 2? There's no such channel.

Apologies, channel 402 SS PL HD

They all say the same thing at the top of the screen

 

this channel is effected by a problem with the satellite signal.......

 

we go though the process and get now where

Whenever a “no satellite signal” message is displayed firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check out the troubleshooting on this link

It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish (it’s not something that will necessarily be visible to the naked eye). If you’re on a communal dish you may initially need to liaise with your landlord or building management company.

Same thing just started happening to my sky Q ch 402 and 415 both sports channels. Probably a software update gone wrong .

If you're getting the same 'no satellite signal' message then the earlier advice applies to you too.

Its definately not that. We have a beand new box and serviced dish a week ago by Sky.
