My smart tv is going for a repairs how can I connect my skyQ box to an old tv
My smart tv is going in for a repair how can I connect an non smart tv into my Q box.

You don't need a smart TV to connect a Sky Q box. Just connect the HDMI cable as you do with your current TV.

...and make sure you're selecting the HDMI input that your Sky box is connected to.

Previously I have selected both HDMI inputs but both say no signal

Unless there's something else you haven't told us, for example, your Sky Q box wasn't working with your other TV. there's no reason why it shouldn't work with the non-smart TV.
