Channel 4 has been turned into S4C and that's welsh?

Recently moved to South Wales, and noticed they don't have channel 4? Is there a way to get it back? 😄

You can find Ch4 on EPG number 108 in Wales.

Consequently Sky Atlantic is bumped down to 109 with Gold Dave etc  channels all have increased numbers until you get to BBC4 on 116.

Channel 4+1 is on 208

@tina211  S4C will be the default for the region you are in, you may be able to manuallt tune on CH4

hi @tina211

You may find that Channel 4 in English is still available but further down the TV list - for me in England S4C is on 134 so it might be there

Sorry no ALL4 app on Q

Ch4

Further info.

My previous posts apply to HD channels.

If you only have SD then Ch4 may be  on 829 even though CH4 is normally in HD by default along with BBC and ITV

Check the EPG listings in your setup.

@popacatapetal  I have merged your last post to this existing thread as creating a seperate thread for that post is confusing and on it's own has no context.

S4C instead of C4 has been the designated public service broadcaster for Welsh postcodes in a reserved EPG slot since the fourth channel was created in 1982.  As noted above, you'll find C4 and its variations elsewhere in the EPG but S4C has priority: that's essentially a political decision.
