Hi @janeapples

Afraid you need to speak directly to Sky to cancel.

If you have TNT Sports with Sky on a monthly rolling contract then you need to give 31 days notice.

If you are still under full contract then you you will face early termination charges if you cancel.

@janeapples

You can try here

https://www.sky.com/mysky/tv/tv-packs

As I understand it it depends on who you pay for the subscription. If you can't do it via that link you will have to contact whoever you pay for it, so if you pay through Sky you'll need to call and give the previously mentioned 31 days notice. If you pay TNT direct you need to contact them.

Re: CANCELLING TNT SPORTS

The whole thing is ridiculous as it is almost impossible to cancel TNT - the bots take you to the sky community which is not at all helpful. The bots give zero help. This may be one for Watch Dog !,

@Whoopi

All calls will start automated which may offer you the online help route or try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

Re: CANCELLING TNT SPORTS

I am disgusted with Sky, i have been a so called Diamond VIP for what that is worth and been with Sky since 1991 when it was under Murdoch and called BSKYB. I am being charged £184 a month for having Sky TV, Sports and Broadband i don't know one person who pays anywhere near that so i am looking to get out.

@Bluemoon+Nige

You have added to an old thread about cancelling TNT, but haven't mentioned TNT in your post. Is that what you want to cancel?

We can’t see your bills but the usual reason for a bill increase, other than the usual annual price increase in April, is that your discounts have ended.

Perhaps compare the latest bill with previous ones to see where it differs.

If your discounted minimum term has ended or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by contacting Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a new 24 month minimum term contract.

Significant discounts are harder to come by these days so if you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer is unlikely to be available when you call back. Also remember you’re not a new customer so don’t expect anything close to a new customer deal.

See this link…
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/change-your-package-2-t2#downgrade

If you decide it’s no longer value for money and you’re thinking of changing providers remember that in 18/24 months time you'll be in the same position with that company at which point you'll be able to return to Sky and benefit from the new customer discounts available at that particular time.

In addition …

Sky are currently sending out emails and letters regarding the April 2026 annual price increases.

Once yours arrives it contains a number to call if you wish to cancel certain Sky services. You have 30 days to call after receiving the notification. Leaving penalty free only applies to Sky+, Sky Q, and Broadband/Talk.

Re: CANCELLING TNT SPORTS

Cancelling, or trying to cancel a product/service with sky is ridiculous, certainly some sketchy practices employed by the organisation.

I've cancelled my direct debit. I expect that will prompt a call back later in the month.

Nope.  Your services will be restricted, incur late payment charges, you won't be able to call Sky and your credit record may be impacted.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Yes, I wouldn't expect to have full access to services if I am no longer paying for them. Not being able to call Sky is par for the course.

There would be no immediate impact to my credit score.

@ShaunFromLincoln

As pointed out by @PandJ2020 cancelling a payment method is definitely not recommended and it will cause you additional problems. The relevant services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, the account can't be cancelled, late payment fees will continue to be added and eventually Sky could involve a debt recovery company which may eventually affect your credit rating.

Re: CANCELLING TNT SPORTS

I appreciate your concern, but it serves as a deflection from the wider issue.

Your thoughts on Sky's approach on making cancelling any product far more difficult than it ought to be?

@ShaunFromLincoln

Well you haven't said what you want to cancel, but as the thread is about cancelling TNT you can try here (after setting up a payment method again)!

It depends on who you pay for the subscription. If you can't do it via that link you will have to contact whoever you pay for it, so if you pay through Sky you'll need to call and give 31 days notice. If you pay TNT direct you need to contact them.

Personally never had an issue cancelling any Sky package. Ring up, tell them what you want to cancel. Assuming you're not in a minimum term for said package, give the required notice. Job done in a five minute phone call.
