My sky box has been checked by a registered sky engineer and it is broken beyond repair and I need a replacement. It doesn't record, pause or allow you to download

Are you saying you had a Sky engineer in your house, they checked your box and found it to be beyond repair and they did not swap it out?
The box is on a lease, you'll need to contact Sky to have a new one sent out/fitted.

Why didnt he replace the Box?
