Last week I was persuaded to stay with BT and upgrade to Fibre 100 with speed guarantee of 100mbs! Well I get 80mbs so engineer coming tomorrow morning! That's another issue tho
My main and very annoying issue is since getting the smart hub 2 (contradicting terms) any of the content on Sky you stream constantly buffers you tube, Disney+, Netflix, catch up, you get the point!
Been researching this since install and seems the consensus is sky box trying to connect via the 5g wifi!
is there a solution to this? I have 3 mini boxes, I also have a bt disc!
since I can't separate the 2 & 5g signal (why bt why?) I was considering plugging in a TP-Link range extender and renaming the 2g just for sky! Would this work? Does seem bit extreme but BT's not allowing you to separate the band seems short sighted!
If I can't get my speed guarantee then I might ditch BT and maybe go to sky BB, or another provider!

@MikeWallOne of BT's "improvements" you could try turning off 5Ghz while setting it up and then turning it back on.
It is also worth when you have the 5Ghz frequency on moving it as far as possible from Ch36 that Sky use to link boxes.
It is also as well to turn off "smart" but BT no longer make that easy.
If you log on as admin enter the password then open another browser tag and use this link http://192.168.1.254/smart_setup.htm
You can turn it on/off there.
Another example of BT's staggering incompetency

Re: BT Smart Hub 2 and Sky Q Not playing Nicely
A few points that might help:
I was on BT infinity 2 prior but using the BT modem and TP-Link router
Sky was fine
Internet Speed was 57-65mbs
WiFi Channels were Separate
Sky never buffered even if watching 2 streamed programs
We have 4 smart tv, 3 mini boxes, 4 Alexa devices, wifi printer, 2 Xboxes, 1 ps4, 2 laptops, 2 tablets. Not all on at once in fact not used consoles for months!
