Whenever I try to use sky apps they work for a short while then stop, show a black screen then I have to restart the app. This happens on prime video, Disney and Netflix.
it makes it impossible to watch anything. I have tried resetting the box but. I thing works

Hi @lee180123 Try rebooting your router by removing the power cable for 30 sec then reconnect to reboot, then reboot your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on?

I have tried this. I've reset the box, unplugged it and tried everything I can think

@lee180123 Try rebooting your TV, also try a different HDMI port to connect the SKYQ box to if there is one?

Ive been having the same problem. Apparently this has been going on since 2020 and Sky have no interest in fixing it.

Having the same problem last couple of days. Will contact skty tommorow. Interface is really lagging and slow also.

I have experienced the YT app freeze and return to Sky Home Screen intermittently before. This seems to have got a lot worse since the latest update. It normally occurs when scrolling between videos in the app. I get a black screen then I'm kicked to the Sky home page. Really annoying. Have tried refreshing apps-signing in and out of YT account-rebooting router and Q box but none of it removes the problem.

Same issue for last couple of months but just on mini . Sky need to sort it out

Started happening on my Sky Q box when on the apps (Disney, Netflix, Amazon prime etc). Apparently clearing the cache might help but when I go into settings from the home page, there is no option for apps. Has anyone tried pressing 001 when settings is highlighted?

We have this too. Just a black screen whenever we go on the Sky apps mid programme. Frustrating. Tried restarting, resetting, plugging into another port, contacting sky. Just getting no answers or resolve. If anyone knows a fix please share!

I've been having this issue for a couple of months since getting the Q box. It black screens me after a hour or two. I had come out of a episode of doctor who on the BBC app and was changing episodes and series, started a new one and it black screened me so it's definitely not anything to do with inactivity. I'm going to email sky and go mad on them
