2029 - changes to Sky ?

I understand that by 2029 - Sky will no longer be supporting Q - instead we will all have to use "Streaming"

Something that I am not looking forwards to a bit - as at the moment Q is used to record certain  programs every week and watched at our leasure

I assume that there is a way to run two TV's at the same time on different channels using Stream ?

I don't believe that it needs two "pucks" ?

To run stream on two non glass TVs you need two pucks and the whole home subscription in addition to your monthly package subscription

RF retransmission over coaxial cable from a Sky+ box was never capable of real HD, let alone UHD.

In theory it's possible to split the HDMI output from a Stream puck to two television sets, subject to the maximum cable length limit of the chosen resolution.

There's a one-off charge per Puck and a monthly charge of £15 for a Whole Home subscription (often discounted).to allow viewing on more than one Puck

Sky has always charged more money for that, through Multiroom, Multiscreen and now Whole Home.  Being able to access low resolution cabled RF-out from a Sky+ box was a technical anomaly on hardware which is now at least a decade out of date.

Re: 2029 - changes to Sky ?

@TimmyBGoodYou'll be telling me next that you can see the difference between UHD and HD on a 38" screen .......and that it is worth paying a premium for it ??

@Wibbly-Woo

38" is a computer monitor, and yes, at typical computer distance 4K makes a difference even on a smaller panel.

If you choose to watch a monitor from across a room, that's not the same circumstances.
