does sky contact customers regarding phone upgrades via a mobile phone number

I've had a phone call from someone claiming to be from sky regarding a phone upgrade. it was from a mobile number, is this normal or a scam?

Hi @ChrisJC86  I would treat it as a scam. Did you give any personal information or passwords as part of the call ?

I didn't give out any personal information or passwords, just said I wasn't interested and hung up the call.
