Can't get a PAC as the phone is on my ex girlfriend's account. She will not respond to me
My ex used to top up my data from her rolled over data.
We have been separated for about 3 years and has always given me data, but 2 months ago she stopped transferring data.
I wanted to get my own contract, but was not able to get a PAC code as the phone is on her contract.
I have asked her to get me a vide, but she is not responding.
I contacted her family and they have all lost contact with her.
She has moved house.
She has mental health problems.
I have no idea what I can do.

If that phone is on her account then as she is responsible for paying for it why not get a new one with a new number that you will now be paying for and have full control over as the account holder.

If it is important that you keep your number then you should be able to text the request for the PAC code - Text the word PAC along with your date of birth DDMMYYYY to 65075 however you may require your ex partner's DoB rather than your own.

Thank you Virginia.
I get no reply to a text with my DOB or her DOB.
I did this before with my DOB and got a reply saying that the account had more than one SIM and I had to call Sky.
I did that then and was tokd that they needed her authorisation.
I accept that this is law, but I appear to be in an impossible position.
I really don't know why I don't even get a reply from texts today. Could she have left Sky?

Strange as it worked when I requested the PAC although in my case I did enter the date with the forward slash so I wonder if this is why it's failing.

Still no luck. I have tried with and without a space after PAC and with and without the forward slash on the dates. Plus I have tried both combinations with my birthday and her birthday.
I am wondering if she has closed her account, but I can still make and receive calls, so I imagine not.

I could do that, and provide my regular contacts with the new number, but the fear of missing people who might need to phone is making me very reluctant to take that option.
This could be any ex contacts from my professional life, the inland revenue, or any Government department. Pension providers, specialist medical professionals I have dealt with in the past
It is a long and worrying list!
It would be a choice of last resort and only if I simply cannot find a way out of the Sky contract.

Yes, I think you are right. The data protection act applies here, so she will be the only one who can action it.
I do wonder if I can keep my number but get an eSim, data only, and tether my Sky SIM to that?
Not something I have experience of, but does anyone know if that would work? It might be a solution until she responds to my emails.
My phone does gave an eSim.
