Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Neasy If you have a current sky sim and have a new data plan on a different sky sim then you need to either
transfer the number you want to keep to another payg provider then back to the correct sky sim
or
ask sky to transfer the new data plan to your existing sky sim (but this is at sky's discretion as there is no obligation)

This seems pretty crazy and wasn't explained to me when I ordred a new SIM. So I have to leave SKY to keep going with SKY?

Find out moreHi @ANTSMAN yes if both sims are with sky then you can't port from one to another, either call sky on 150 to see if they can give you the new plan on your old sim (dont be surprised if they say no) or you need to port to another network then back onto the new sim.

The normal procedure is to simply not order a new dataplan and move the old SIM from old to new phone.
Sounds like you've ordered an additional plan (so you're paying for 2). As noted, you cannot use a PAC code within a network.

The SKY team told me I needed to order a new SIM with the new phone. Apparently, I was misled

You don't need to. As stated, if you do and activate it then you will have 2 plans and a new number.

Possibly. Get back on to them... (Calls are recorded if necessary)
