Voicemail notification not clearing

I keep getting sky voicemails and want to know how to stop it. It says I don't have any new voicemails and then goes through all the press 1 to do this press 2 to do that. How do I stop getting them?

To help with the investigation, it's important for those experiencing the issue to reply with the following:

 

  1. Your device make and model (e.g. Samsung S26).
  2. Your device OS version (e.g. Android 16)
  3. When the issue started. (e.g. 3rd March 2026)
  4. Confirm whether or not you've tried all relevant troubleshooting steps.
  5. Describe the issue (e.g. red dot only, +1 voicemail, repeated pop‑ups, etc.).

If you're no longer experiencing this issue, please share the steps you followed to resolve it.

Voicemail notification constant pop up

I keep receiving voicemail notifications popping up on my phone but there's no voicemail there. How can I stop these?

Hi @AlexF1  try changing voicemail settings so messages can't be left, restart the phone then turn voicemail back on.

Hi, I am also getting a constant voicemail notification, although there is no voicemail of any kind when I call to check. I've tried the above of disabling the ability for people to leave voicemail, restarting the phone, etc, but the problem persists. I clear the notification but it goes off again several times a day! What else can I try please?

I have a new phone and the sky voice mail notification won't delete even though I have no new messages. I've tried turning notifications off but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

Hi @Gail6710  try turning off voicemail, restart your phone then turn voicemail back on to see if that helps. 

Voicemail can’t be switched off completely. But, to stop people leaving you voicemail messages, turn message recording mode off.

On your phone:

  1. Dial 759.
  2. Press 3.
  3. Press 5.
  4. Press 1.

Have you tried using another phone to call your mobile to leave a voicemail then tried deleting it in the usual way ?

Something else to consider is do you have visual voicemail active on your phone @Gail6710  could it be a notification for that ?

Hi, many thanks. This worked. It actually wasn't switched on but turned the visual voicemail off and on again and the notification disappeared.

Do you mean you're receiving calls from Sky (and not scammers) which aren't being answered and are going through to Voicemail?

I am getting this too. It started with a message being left but sky voicemail didn't tell me for 3 days. Now several times a day saying I have a voicemail. Call sly voicemail and no messages. Can't see a way to contact Sky about it
