I've noticed that Thailand is now included in the £2 per day passport plus, has anyone been and used their sky mobile that can confirm it is now only £2 a day, feeling anxious to use it in case it's an error as it was rest of the world charges in summer 2025. Sky website says passport plus available in 55 countries but there are 57 countries if you include Thailand and Vietnam, which now

Hey @Jen6830,
I'm really sorry for the confusion and conflicting information. Thailand was added to Roaming Passport Plus a few months back, it appears the advisers must be relying on previous knowledge. You can see it's listed in the most up to date tarrrif guide:

A quick tip I've taken from one of our help articles:
The £2 pass counts towards your monthly spend cap. If your data usage is set too low or set to £0, it will block you from using your phone abroad. To use the Roaming Passport Plus pass for a week’s holiday, your data usage would need to be at least £14 a month, £2 x 7 days. Check your data usage anytime at sky.com/spendcap.

Re: Thailand
Hi thankyou for your advise, I'm really confused now though as I've just had a chat with someone at the overseas call centre and they are saying that Thailand is not in the passport plus, I pointed out that the online information suggests it is, she was adamant it isn't and apologised for wrong information on website!! If that is the case it's really bad of sky and could cause huge bills for people. How can I contact someone in the uk to check as wondering if they don't have the up to date information overseas

Re: Thailand
Thankyou, trying to get through to someone else, it's terrible if the info about passport plus destinations is incorrect!

Re: Thailand
Hi @Jen6830 we have had it confirmed in a closed area of the forum by sky that it's definitely in the roaming passport plus group and is £2 for 24 use of your home allowance. Calls to local numbers are charged at international rates though so be aware of that.

Re: Thailand
Rang again and same info, Thailand is not on the list they can see and they do not know why I can see it on the passport plus list. I did ask who can this go to to be resolved so other travellers don't get caught out. I don't think they believed me as said info that they can see is all there and correct 72p per min for calls and 36p per mb data.

Re: Thailand
It's made me very wary to believe it as the overseas call centre are adamant the info I am seeing on the passport plus list is wrong. Why have they not got access to this information? I just wish I could get through to someone at sky who can 100% confirm. Thankyou for your help though

Re: Thailand
I am so frustrated as going round in circles trying to get in touch with someone at sky that can 100% confirm. The advisor text me the list they work from (no date on it) I did ask if they could look at the list from 25.11.25 and they said they are and the list they are going from is the most recent. One advisor said the list I'm looking at is wrong and must be a glitch and said I will be charged a lot if I use my phone.

Re: Thailand
Thankyou Chloe, just realised you work for Sky so thank you for responding and also to everyone else that has replied to help.
@Chloe-W22 could I check something with you, my original call to the call centre was to ask about voicemail and if someone left me a voicemail would that be included in the passport plus or would it incur additional charges? I've tried to turn voicemail off using 759 3,5.1 but it's still accepting voicemail so not sure if there is a delay before it kicks in.

Re: Thailand
It's also worth bearing in mind that Roaming using Roaming Passport Plus is now limited to 25GB per billing period.
From Skys own website...
When you roam using our Roaming Passport Plus, we consider that up to 25GB per billing period is a reasonable amount of data to use. If you exceed this amount, we'll assume that you're no longer using data in the way expected of a reasonable customer for periodic travel.
We may suspend your service, restrict your usage, or charge you for the data that you use in excess of these amounts (currently £2.50 per GB), and we'll let you know by SMS or email before we do so.

Look under data calls and charges on this link @Jen6830 and it explains about voicemail when in a passport plus zone, same charges as in UK and doesn't activate the £2 daily charge.
