Swapping handset.
I'm about 16 months into a 3 year (handset only) contract. How long do I have to wait to be able to upgrade to a newer iPhone?

You can swap at any time after 31 days or until you've fully repaid.
However, if you swap 'early' then the residual value of your phone is highly unlikely to cover the outstanding credit on your current device. Any difference is payable in full on the next bill.
So, if they offer you £400 when you have £600 still outstanding then £200 will be added onto your next bill.

Re: Swapping handset.
Thanks for your quick reply. I had read that but when I log on to the app I'm told that a swap is 'unavailable'. Hence my post. What am I missing?

Call Sky on 150 is all that you can do as they should be able to process the swap for you.

Re: Swapping handset.
Their swap IT is very flaky.
I have been able to arrange a swap for my phone (after several false starts). The new phone is due to arrive 22 July. Their bot had DPD deliver me a completely empty box on 11 July which it turned out was to return my old phone in.
Not just flaky but barking!
I think the advice to call them is good. You're more likely to speak to a human being than some neurodysfunctional bot incapable of understanding anything but with the single ability to ask you to repeat what its already failed to comprehend the first, second and third times. More than a few minutes engaging with it will threaten your mental health - avoid any invitation to talk to something it pleases them to call a "Virtual Assistant" unless you have a good therapist on stand-by.
