Been here since 13th June. Tried all of theses suggestions. Nothing works. Visited Toronto Apple Store they have no clue
rang sky support nothing resolved. They said someone would be in touch via alternative number I gave them as mine doesn't work. That was over a week ago and still nothing. Going back to Uk tomorrow so past caring about this, but this is a shockingly bad service and the support is non existent. Basically had to sort a solution out myself

Has the team actually managed to resolve this issue for anyone
When will we receive an update on whatever progress, if any, is being made
What efforts are being made, if any, to keep affected people in formed or in communication
To date the only advice seems to be repeated and repeatedly fails.
I can confirm that the issue is not limited to Alberta & BC but also extends to Nova Scotia
If Sky are treating this in a serious manner then at the very least they should endeavour to keep affected customers informed. I see no evidence that they are in fact doing so

And 11 hours later there is no response from anyone at Sky, which speaks volumes for their customer service levels and their commitment to advising there customers of their efforts to resolve this issue

SOS continually showing whilst on holiday in Canada
I am really disappointed with my Sky mobile whilst abroad in Canada. When I arrived, first few days I had access to the passport Plus, but then the last four days I am getting the SOS emergency calls only symbol.
I have tried all the Sky guides and contacted the chat bot, but even they were unable to help. They suggested to contact Sky direct on the phone, but I have no connection to ring!! I am at a loss and so frustrated having tried everything. Anyone have any other ideas please?

Hi,
This was very similar to my issue, I was working ok for a few days and then SOS only, I went through all the help pages but nothing worked, my wife was on Sky as well and had the same issue. Our issue happened over a month ago and we are now back in the UK, after trying all the help pages and suggestions the issue was still the same. Given the issues everyone has had in Canada, there is still an ongoing issue and it was happening well before we arrived, so I estimate it has been going on for two months from the Sky forum issues people were reporting. Whilst on wifi after a couple of days of troubleshooting I bought an esim from Saily (this involves downloading some software onto your phone). Once on it allows you to turn off the Sky SIM and use the the Saily one. Now back in the UK and I have switched my phone to Lebara from Sky, once I am happy it is working ok for a couple of weeks I will switch my wife over. I think given the lack of service from Sky, people should vote with their feet. I hope you get sorted soon as I know how frustrating it is ?

Having landed at Heathrow this evening - neither of our phones work - both emergency only calls, I'm certain that Sky would like us to call to discuss a resolution but we can't - our phones don't even work in the UK.
An absolute disgrace

As you've very recently returned from abroad try this
Apple:
Settings > Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Make sure this is set to Home.
Android:
Sky Menu App or SIM toolkit > Roaming > Make sure this is set to Home.

It would be nice if they even accepted responsibility for the issue instead of remaining silent
