My sky mobile credit agreement end today. I know I can no longer upgrade my phone through swapping it. I am wondering if i order a new phone through sky and then use the sim card from my old one in it or whether I have to cancel my sim and create a whole new plan?

You can do this yes, you will be credit checked again which like when you ordered your previous device you will need to pass.
