Not according to Apple, there is no way around it. I just found a site that does FREE esims, stops the warning.
Asked Sky, they said, no esim, not our problem, basically suck it up. The phones were only delivered to customers yesterday. I'm probably the first one on the forums, whcould be bothered to report this.

Mine doesn't have that after setting it up

My previous post was for @NeilHolmes it didn't quote the reply about having red bubble on settings after setting up iPhone. Mind doesn't have that

My phone is an iPhone 14, in the US ppl are complaining about no sim tray, I guess for the other countries, we will all eventually have this issue

Just back from the USA where I picked up an iphone 14 for my wife (who is also on sky mobile). Trying to set it up but having the same problem. I hadn't considered this at all.
I wonder if apple uk would allow me to swap the device for a uk model?

I think you know the answer to that... I suspect not a chance.

I believe the USA and UK work on different frequencies so you have bigger problems than e-sim

Not true. The apple store confirmed that much to me over there when I bought it.

Indeed. US providers do use 5G mmWave, which may be faster.

Hi folks called sky today to say I was going to buy an Apple Watch with cellular and I was asking about the esim as of today it's still not possible for Sky to use esims 😡
as I want to use the watch instead of my mobile at work. I was told it's up to Apple who gets to use the esims apparently it's not Sky even though they use the O2 network got another year for my contract is up so if it's not up an running buy then I'm jumping ship 👍🏻

Just chatted with Apple in regards to this;
😭 it's your fault man!
The advisor kindly informed me after;
"Esim activation is completely dependent on the carrier itself. We make the devices eSIM compatible but we don't dictate who's allowed to use eSIM activation that would be the carrier & their network capabilities"

Wow Sky told me it's up to Apple **bleep**.
so we need to talk to the organ grinder of sky not the monkeys to get this Esim
farse sorted out 👍🏻

Simple answer just switch to another network

Just got an Apple Watch Ultra and looking to see if SKY mobile support eSIMs, which, after reading this thread, looks like they are not going to offer. I will have to go to another supplier. Shame.
