Showing I have 5G but no connection and unable to receive calls

my phone is showing 5G, I am unable to use data unable to receive or make phone calls. Phone customer service five times, been into the store changed SIM card twice still not resolved. This has been going on for a week. I've been told this has been escalated however a week with no phone isn't acceptable
