Hi there,
So I *think* I've set up my roaming for mine and my wife's phones (we head off to Tenerife next week).
we're using the roaming passport + due to the location. It's £2 per phone per day (so £4 per day).
I understand that once I switch off and back on my phones once we land, it will be activated.
i *assume* that we'll then get billed upon our return to the uk.
we're only on 4gig per month packages, but have accrued some 70gig in the piggy bank. So my understanding is that whenever we're not on WiFi, the data plan will kick in, using the piggyback data until it's used up?
this data needs to be managed and added to the phones from the mysky app?
I've also set up some data limits of £20 per month/phone should that data get used up.
does that sound right? 😀
We ve come from Giffgaff, where we just bought an unlimited data upgrade per phone, so Sky's method is unfamiliar.
Could anybody confirm please?
thanks in advance,
Dan

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreHi @ScoobyDoo555 you are nearly correct. The piggy bank needs to be topped up by you, it won't happen automatically. What I tend to do is top up from my piggybank before I leave the UK in case there was an issue in my destination. I usually top each sim up by 20Gig or so. Make sure roaming is active in your phone settings and mobile data is turned on. Be aware calls to the uk and uk mobiles come out of you normal allowance but calls to local numbers are charged at international rates.
