@courtney105 Sky should take only the missing 2 pounds from your normal payment method

Re: Need to Cancel Payment
Any credit on your account should be used first providing it was showing as a credit in plenty of time. Do not cancel your payment method as that could cause you problems.

Re: Need to Cancel Payment
@courtney105 There's no need for you to cancel a payment if the credit is enough to cover the whole bill the automatic payment won't be taken provided the credit was on your account 5 working days before the payment was due
if it wasn't the following applies If you have a continuous payment method setup you should never need to make a manual payment as it won’t stop the automatic payment process if you make the manual payment 4 days before payment due date as the payment request has already been submitted
For direct debits if first attempt fails sky try again 10 calendar days later automatically and if second attempt fails your service will be restricted and that's the point to make a manual payment
you need to let sky take payment as normal because your payment has been applied to next month's bill not the bill that is due to be paid now
You can now either leave the overpayment on your account as credit to use against a future bill you can either contact Sky and request a refund which will take 3-5 working days to complete
Or alternatively we can get help for you regarding a refund via the Community Messaging Team on here if you wish. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.
Before we can escalate it to Sky please confirm in your reply that it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account and if the payment method is still active.
For future reference if you want to make a manual payment to prevent the automatic payment being taken you need to make sure that the total bill amount is showing as credit on your Sky account 4 working days before your payment due date

Re: Need to Cancel Payment
As stated above, the credit should be used so do not cancel your payment method as this will lead to further issues for you.
If the credit is enough to pay the bill in full then this should be shown on your account so does it show that the credit will be used ?

The credit will be used and if you still owe £2 then the £2 will be taken from your payment method.
