Hello,
confused as can be at the moment.
New sim deals on at the moment and phone is due an upgrade.
currently on a £40gb data plan but don't use anywhere near that and paying over and above for it
trying to change the data plan in the sim page on the app to get the new deal but if i do it in the 'manage sim' page there is no deal and always comes up with an error page on website and app.. but if i do it in the 'add an extra sim' page the deal is there.. basically the offer is only there if i add another one rather than just trying to change existing one.
im wondering.. since i already have a sim plan and i add another one.. does this mean I am paying for both or can a just cancel existing one? how do i cancel it, if so? Can't see options for that.
if i cancel existing one, can I still keep all saved data in piggybank to use on new sim? Is it easy to keep same number etc?
apologies for the series of questions but i find it all very confusing.

You can cancel your current deal after 12 months but you have to call sky on 150 to do that. You can't port your old number to the new sim direct with sky. You could call sky on 150 and ask if they can apply the new plan to the old sim but they may refuse. The other way is to port your old number to a different network on PAYG then port it back to the new sim. As long as your account is open you keep access to the piggybank so make sure you you order any new sim before cancelling the old one if you go down that route.

Yes @ru+hog you get a PAC from sky and give that to the new suplier and your old number would transfer to your new sim on that network. If you don't have an active sim on sky though you will probably lose all piggybank data.

Thank you!
I can't see any option to cancel existing sim contract?
would i cancel before ordering new sim or cancel once number is moved over?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more1. Get your new provider's SIM.
2. Get a PAC code from Sky.
3. Give that PAC code to the new provider. (Either during or after activation)
4. Number will transfer to new provider and existing SIM will cancel.

Yes, read the detail in the link.
Remember if the last SIM is cancelled on the account then the piggybank evaporates.
