Leave sky with mobile number but continue to pay contract of phone

Hi, I was just wondering, the contract on my phone doesn't finish for a couple of years but my number is out of contract, can I leave sky and go else where with my number but continue to pay the phone contract with sky until it finishes

Yes you can transfer the number to another network if you want or even cancel it with Sky.

How about getting the phone unlocked how can I do that

@donna772 You don't need to get the phone unlocked, all phones supplied by Sky are already unlocked.

When I put in a different sim it didn't bring up the number for that sim

It's the Samsung s24+, it shows the number with this sim but it is sky but I thought if I put in a different sim it would bring up the number of that one

You could try refreshing the network settings:

Go to the Home screen
Swipe up from the center of the display to access the Apps screen
Select Settings
Select General management
Select Reset
Select Reset mobile network settings to clear cellular network settings and restore to default values
If prompted, enter your PIN, password, or pattern
Select Reset to confirm

You might need to set up your Wifi connection again.

Now try this other sim in the phone.

It can tell me it's a Vodafone sim but says number unknown.

When I change supplier I am keeping the same number so technically it should bring up the number anyway as it will be the same as it is, I just thought that the Vodafone sim would bring up the number that was on it

Has that Vodafone sim being activated as it should show the number that came with it.

It's a really old sim, it was just the only sim I had to hand, I can't even remember what the number is for it
