Keeping mobile number

I have just received my new iPhone 17 pro max, it has came with a new sim. I am already with sky mobile I'm just wondering if I am still able to keep my current mobile number or if I will have to change? Thanks

@Iona3 if you're happy with your existing data plan just put your existing sim in the new phone and don't activate the new sim

You'll only pay for a second SIM if you activate the new SIM.  Simply move the SIM from old to new phone.

@Iona3  No you will only be charged for the second sim if you activate it

dont activate it and it will drop off your account after 31 days

just insert your current sim into the new phone

Re: Keeping mobile number

Sorry I have just remembered the sim I currently have in my 'old' phone I don't want to keep paying as I'm paying £30 a month for 60gb. I do still want to keep my number tho is that possible to switch to new sim but keep old number?

@Iona3  yes it's possible but not straight forward

you will need to port the number you want to keep to a non sky payg sim then back again to the correct sky sim

You would need to get a Pac code then move then number to a PAYG network, then get another pac code from this PAYG network to move it back to the new Sky sim.
