Identify Theft

I recently recieved several letters from Sky Mobile saying I've set up an account (I haven't). And then a later letter saying they'd cancelled the account, thankfully.

However, I can find no way of actually getting in touch with Sky Mobile. No email address, no online form, and no phone number that allows me to speak to someone if I don't have an account (I just get stuck at the: "please enter the phone number attached to your account" with any phone number I find).

I think it's outrageous that there's no way (as far as I can see) of reporting this kind of fraud directly to the company.

Does anyone have a solution that I'm missing?

Re: Identify Theft

I'm in a similar position, someone has used my identity to set up a fraudulent account. I just entered my own mobile number when it asked for a number, but there's no real option after that to say 'I just want to talk to someone about this problem' as far as I can see, it's like navigating a maze of useless options.

I eventually got through to someone by picking the wrong option, and they said someone from Sky would contact me in 4–5 days, which of course they haven't. Abysmal service.

@ElodieB @Liam141

See this link from Skys own website regarding fraudulent Sky accounts. It should include a general number to call

Re: Identify Theft

The trouble is, those numbers only connect you to Sky's general customer service, which is very difficult to navigate and not always particularly helpful even when you manage to finally connect. You'd think, as Sky are ultimately the victims of this fraud, they'd treat it much more seriously, but apparently not.

I'm still waiting to hear back, after almost two weeks now.
