Hi, I have just received my new MacBook Air 2020 and have no idea where to put / how to use the SIM card that came with it ? Am I missing something? Thank you in advance.

@Chorefield  I stand to be corrected but I believe the sim requires a dongle and then you connect that via the usb port on the laptop

there is no physical slot on the laptop itself

Hi @Chorefield  @SKY1992bf  is correct you need a dongle if you wish to use the SIM card with the Mac. There was the option to add one during the purchase of the Mac so if you didn't add it then you will need to purchase a one from somewhere. If you don't activate the sim you won't be charged.

Re: How to use sim on MacBook Air 2020

Thank you for your replies. I went back through the buying process and it did not offer me an option to purchase a dongle...

I have called Sky and explained the issue. I was told that I couldn't use the sim on the MacBook and the agent said that she didn't understand why it would give me the option to add one to the order ! The sim has now been cancelled 😀

It's in the middle of the page on the Mac sales pages @Chorefield

Yes, it does say this but there is no additional step to select a single after this. Only option for air pods or iWatch.

im looking for the dongle option too. Very disappointing if Sky don't offer even though they say they do!

Yes @Nuttyrockeress1  I also tried to follow the process as described in that image but as you have found the option to add the dongle doesn't appear so I have raised that to sky in a separate area in the forum.
