I've changed the provider for a SIM card that I use in my Huawei personal mobile router and decided to get a second Sky SIM data package instead. Everything worked out well until I tried to connect to the internet via a laptop and mobile phone. Every time I get a 'Connected without internet' message. The router recognises the new SIM card, and so does the laptop and phone. I've tried rebooting all devices with no luck. I've tried the new SIM card in my phone and it works fine so I think think either Sky has a block on the router or there is something I need to do to the router and/or phone settings to solve the issue. Any advice? Thanks

For anyone out there that has a similar problem there is little on the subject on forums. I contacted Sky and spoke to several people who tried troubleshooting a range of things. In the end the issue was referred as a complaint for their network escalation team to deal with. I will contact them in a few days to see if the issue has been resolved. Fingers crossed.

Check the manuals. Phones generally have these easily accessible (on an iPhone it's Settings > Mobile Service) and for the router there will be an admin page to enter them.

I have an android phone. I found access point names in settingsand added a new one, however, there is no MMS APN Settings on the list. I changed what I coud recognise from your list but it hasn't changed anything. 😞

Is it possible your devices are network locked?

I don't believe so. I have used a different network povider SIM card in the past without any problems with connecting to various devices. Would it be something that Sky might block i.e. my MiFi, if trying to access a router that is not a Sky product?
