Charged £200 for 2 hours in Malaysia
Hi there ,
I forgot to put my roaming spend cap on and somehow got hit with a £200 bill while travelling though Malaysia airport en route to Australia. Now I can't use my phone unless I'm using WiFi . Also I feel ripped off at having to pay such a lot for sending one video message to my kids . What course of action do I have to get refunded ? To enable my phone for just in Australia ? Should I just wear it and leave sky once I'm home ? I'm feeling very dissatisfied right now
Thanks in advance

Re: Charged £200 for 2 hours in Malaysia
Why is it a rip off. It sounds like you've correctly been charged. It is a Rest Of The World destination and costs will be extremely high as per this link

@ggro sky aren't responsible for customers actions or in this case non actions if the charges are correct then you are liable for them

Hi @ggro you have no recourse for a refund. You made the call in a roaming destination.
When others have been in your position paying something towards the bill has enabled the phone to start working. £10 has been quoted, may be worth a try ?

Take responsibility for your error, Sky are not responsible for your actions, or inactions to prevent such fees, like all Mobile providers the tariffs are listed on their website which you should check Before travelling.
The dissatisfaction is your own making and could have been easily avoided, Sky have no reason to refund the charges.
