Can existing sky mobile customers get Black Friday deals?

I've bee with sky for many years and my mobile contract is currently 2gb for £10. Is it possible to get the black friday deals on my current sim? The offers are 40gb for £14 and 10gb for £8. I spoke to some at sky and they tell me that I have to have a new sim with a new number! I tried to barter with him but he was getting confused with what I wanted - just that I wanted the black friday price on my existing sim. Has anyone been successfull at doing this? Thanks.

The Sky advice is correct. It's for a new sim / number. Sky are unlikely to apply it on your current plan.

@Someguy if Sky will not apply it to your current sim then the work around is to order the new sim, move your current number to another PAYG provider sim then back again to the new Sky sim.

The terms clearly state the deals are for new/additional dataplans only.

 

Leaving is one option, or if you want to keep the numbers then switching out of the network and back in again (as detailed above) is your only option.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

I wanted the same, and was told the same, but also I was told sim deals for existing customers would be come, and that "you won't be disappointed ". So for now I'm waiting ...

  • I am trying to upgrade my data plan and have called numerous times in the last 10 days. Each time I get told something different along with different prices. However, when they try and upgrade I just get told there is a glitch and they cannot upgrade my plan. They then say we will let the back office know. They promise a fix within 72 hours, and of course I never hear from them again. Does anyone have any suggestions, apart from cancel everything and go somewhere else ?

Just says there is a problem and try again later, as it has done for the last 10 days !
