Go to Settings - Phone - My Number and change it if it is wrong, then reboot the phone.
It might take a few attempts to get the number to save.

when i try to change the number it asks for a verification code that is sent to my mobile number

6 days in and still cannot receive calls, every time I call they walk me through the reset process and tell me to wait 24 hours...what a joke

I've just ported my number to Sky from EE.
Following the advice in your 01 March 2021 post, after going to Settings/Phone/My Number on my iPhone 13 I find I am unable to change the temporary number issued to me by Sky while I was waiting for EE to complete the transfer of my old number.
Any help appreciated.

Hi, thanks for your resonse.
Every time I replace the temporary number with my old number it reverts back to the temp number.
I've tried 5 or 6 times, each time turning the phone off for a few minutes before rebooting.

The other possible way to do this would be to order a replacement sim as that should come with the correct number:

Hi
I've just contacted Sky to request a replacement sim with my old number. I finally gave up after multiple attempts changing the temp number and rebooting. Thanks for your help and the link, much appreciated.

Hi, I have transferred my old number over, thought it had all worked ok, but my temp number is now showing. I have tried to change my number in settings but switches is straight back to temp number. Can anybody help please

If it still doesn't work then you can order yourself a replacement sim as that should come with the correct number:

Hi.
Here's the solution I found to changing a stubborn temp number back to the number you want to keep ~
1. On your iPhone go to Settings / Messages and disable Message
2. Go to Settings / General. Scroll right to the bottom until you see Transfer or Reset iPhone
3. Hit Reset *NOT* Erase All Content and Settings
4. Hit Reset Network Settings from the drop down list.
This worked for me so should solve the problem, but you will need to set up Network Settings again
such as Wifi password etc. Hope it works.

ive received confirmation that my number has ported, I've tried all necessary steps including the network reset, this has brought my number across, however my old phone is still showing as connected to Vodafone and all texts and phone calls are still going to my old phone.
any help please?
