You will need to call Sky so they can check the status of the order, or see if you can continue it via your web browser.

Need to cancel pre ordered phone

I pre ordered an iPhone 17 pro max but have changed my mind, I can't find any way to cancel this

You will need to contact Sky. You can't cancel here or online. If you then order an alternative you'll be credit checked again.

Placed my order about eight minutes after pre-orders opened on Friday 12th, when the delivery date was shown as 19th September. My order status is "Order awaiting dispatch", and when I click that it says "In progress - coming soon".

 

Absolutely no emails from Sky at all, but got told I passed the initial credit check when purchasing. Still no emails and it's Sunday night.

 

Really hope Sky have got their act together when it comes to pre-orders and delivery dates. I didn't order last year, but I remember the year before when people pre-ordered minutes after pre-orders opened and many were delayed until mid/late October, whereas some who ordered a week or two later got theirs within days.

@Wurst1  sky's ordering system is a mess last year was the same hopefully it's better this year good luck

When will we find out the delivery date? I'm worried about it saying 'coming soon' as that gives no indication. I preordered the iPhone 17 Pro Max on Friday, had confirmed order email at 1:08pm and then got the email to say it will be delivered 'soon' at 1:14pm. 

 

It did say on the website 'for delivery ON 19th September' when ordering so hoping it is then?

To help with your next steps:

 

Upgrade your device:

  • Go to your My Sky account and sign in.
  • Select the device you want to upgrade and Start your upgrade or Shop now.

Swap your device:

  • Go to your My Sky account and sign in.
  • Select the device you want to Swap and Start your upgrade.

Track your order:

  • Go to your My Sky account and sign in.
  • Visit the My Profile section and select My Orders.

Iphone 17 pro max

I ordered the phone on 13 sep 2025

just now i got the mail the order has been cancelled

It’s possible you may have failed one of the required credit check(s). For a sim deal it’s just a soft credit check, for a device there’s also an enhanced check. Any emails which confirm or cancel the order sometimes arrive out of sequence. See this link for Skys guidance ~

Be aware that if you keep trying to order the device this could further impact your credit score. If you contact Sky they would be able to confirm that’s the reason your order was cancelled but not why you failed the credit check in the first place as they are not allowed to view your credit record. You would have to sign up to a credit reference agency like Experian or Equifax, which would give you access to your credit record.

Any upfront payment you’ve made should be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer in which case you’ll need to contact Sky to chase it up.

The same happened to me , you have to call customer service but I doubt you will able to cancel it at the moment if shows in progress that is what their response when I talked to them about mine.
