Received my 16 pro max yesterday, it's barely useable!

Most, if not all, apps keep hanging and crashing despite updating this morning to the new release software.

My phone arrived yesterday! Still getting used to it but the 16 Pro Max is definitely an upgrade from my previous 12 Pro Max!

tricky finding a case what fitted it though before my phone came I'd bought two and they both didn't fit! Both from different sites too. I did manage to get one fitted in store in my local area at a phone shop though! Hope all are happy with their devices when they eventually arrived

Which phone did you order? GB, colour and model out of curiosity? I got the 16 pro max 256GB in natural titanium. Hoping yours is different and its an issue with that model 😂

@Roman4 I ordered the same as you and got it yesterday. I have had some very minor issues but there's been a software update since which has ironed them out. I'm really happy with the phone and glad I upgraded

The phone has only been out 2 weeks - 3 weeks ago today was the pre-order so nobody has waited nearly 4 weeks!

I'm unsure why all the unrest here, it's the same scenario every year and a pre-order doesn't guarantee you will receive the phone on the release date, especially if you didn't order in the first 10 minutes or so as it's all stock dependant. 

In fact a few years ago, stock was much worse and the minimum waiting time was 2 months. Customers not receiving phones until November - some into the new year! 

It's like reading comments from stroppy sulky kids on here - amazes me everyone must be over 18 to pass credit checks.

Even ordering from Apple direct there is a wait into November currently. They will fulfil their stock first, and then allocate trickle stock to other resellers. Poor Sky staff or any other outlet such as EE, Carphone Warehouse and many others won't have a clue when they receive stock, so calling them 5-10 a day nagging won't get anyone anywhere.

@catterbury its absolutely not unreasonable for people to expect updates on orders they have made, especially people who pre-ordered over two weeks ago now. 

Most people make an order and reasonably expect it to be fulfilled ASAP

You said it - "ASAP" - so when it's back in stock they will ship them out. Until Apple allocates stock which nobody knows when that will be, nobody can help, including people on here so it's pointless people coming on here asking when they'll get their orders.

Everyone's order status will update when stock comes in and is assigned to an order, so it's best to keep an eye on it. Employees can't tell any different because all they can do is check your account like you can. They may get told stock is expected in such and such days, but whether any of those will be assigned to a particular order is anybody's guess.

People need to just calm down, it's only a phone. It's not end of the world. It's not the Sky employees fault. In fact I bet some of them are in the same boat!!

Haha I don't actually, I work in transport 🙂 however I did make sure I was in the pre order queue in time and ordered within 10 minutes because I knew this would happen - same as every year with every outlet/network out there - including Apple. Nothing different about this year.

@catterbury i ordered within 10 minutes... still without my phone. People aren't annoyed at sky for not having the phones people are annoyed because the staff blatantly lie and have also made some quite big mistakes. I'm personally annoyed because for his own gain a sky employee cancelled and re ordered my phone and also carried on his sales pitch by trying to sell me various other devices. This put me to the back of the queue and sky wont even prioritise my order. Things are out of their control but their customer service is in their control and quite honestly it's been diabolical from the start. If you have sat through 266 pages of comments and read every single one of them and understood everyone's seperate situation with sky and come to that conclusion fair enough but I can guarantee you haven't done that so maybe just keep your comments to yourself

I ordered pro max 256 desert. This is my first ever contract. I also ordered a sim with 100gb data plan. Before that I tried Three for mobile contract but they refused because of credit check. 
When I ordered with sky, I paid £78. I don't know if my order is confirmed or still require any credit checks. I ordered on 27th sept and no update since then. When I try to track my order or do anything on the app, it says restricted page or something like that. I have no idea if my order is confirmed and now i just have to wait or otherwise.

@Ubaid163 you should have had an email confirmation by now? I think if I was you I would give them a call in the morning and make sure it's been ordered
