@Anonymous Its not the fact that they dont have our phones, its the fact that they have lied to us, telling us all different kinds of stories, we all understand the fact that they will not know much and its not their fault that they dont have the phones but the lies that they have been feeding us is horrendous! they just need to straight up say "we do not know when they will be in" instead of telling every single customer something completely different. for example i was told today that my phone was with DPD but then i checked again with a different agent and was told that it was still with apple then another agent told me that my order may be frozen... i think you can understand how that can make people frustrated.

@Anonymous dont you think we know there's been a delay?
we also know there's phones being dispatched all across the country - the reason SOME of us are annoyed at sky is because we have preordered a phone - been lied to - and been lied to again - then let down as people who didn't pre order have now received their phones. we're happy for them!

@Anonymous I think we all understand that there could have been delays with orders and we appreciate that, however, what is not appreciated is the lack of communication from sky, the lies received from Sky when they have communicated, people who ordered after certain people receiving their orders first (for the same devices).
If Sky call centre staff do not know when a delivery is expected they should not tell us a date, they should not set expectations if they are unable to comply with them. Sky should not be taking on more orders when they are unable to fulfil the current orders.
We are all trying to be as patient as possible but to date people have received no updates, had to take time off work expecting deliveries which have failed to arrive (some are self employed therefore losing money) and some have been left without a phone due to contracts ending/phones breaking.
So no it's not 'quite sad', yes it is only a phone and I'm sure most can live a few more weeks waiting for it but some may rely on it for work or for communicating with family members who need help.
The main source of anger here really is falling on Skys back because of there extremely poor customer service to (most - loyal) customers.

@champagneslay yeah I was about to say that, it is not necessarily the phone. We know full well there is delays as there are every year. It is the blatant lies, lack of communication and just god awful customer service.

I'm not going to reply to each of you indivudally but the reality is the only reason you're disappointed is because you clearly haven't been through this before, and fair enough, but nobody has lied to you about this. No where did it state "pre-order now and you'll get it day 1 before anyone else" that's not how pre-orders work, you're just securing your model which makes no real sense because there isn't a finite amount of iPhones 16s being made. People who are getting their devices sooner than pre-orders usually ordered less popular sizes and colours.
I'm not putting anyone down, but seeing certain people almost seeming proud they yelled at a minimum wage customer service advisor who has no control over your delivery isn't something I think anyone should support on here.
Again, everyone just needs to chill out, stop refreshing your trackers, stop spamming the live chat, and just wait for the DPD notification you'll get in 1-3 weeks depending. It's like this every year, quicker youa accept it the less disappointed you'll be 🙂

at this point the only dates that anyone is gonna get here is a date with each other given how we all love each other now😅 dates from sky seem to be nonsense

I completely agree getting angry is not the way - and believe me I feel guilty for raising my voice at all but some of what you said is not true at all and a lot of us can vouch for it. Sky sent an email on preorders stating that deliveries would be 'on 20th september' and as some of have not done this before took that as gospel and low and behold that's what we believed. The statement you said about it being less popular models/colours/ megabytes is some what fact yes - however is not true.
If you've been here since the beginning then I'd understand but you've obviously only read a portion of what's happened. you haven't lived through it

@Anonymous you do realise you don't have to be on this forum if you think we're all just moaning. Quite frankly, as much as it may come across as "moaning", it's expressing shared frustration in the hope that it can be recognised by Sky; after all, they encourage the use of this community page for that reason.
I would also comment that when pre orders went live, there was a guarantee provided for a release of 20th September. There was no message stating there'd be a delay, and the phones wouldn't be released on the day. If that were the case, we wouldn't have pre ordered and would have gone elsewhere or waited until production issues stabilised. Many have cancelled old contracts, and are reliant on phones. Most also booked days off work because of false promises provided and not knowing what information to provide. There has not been a single consistent message across the board or no announcement or update emails of reassurance.
also, this forum has been the best in collective harmony of offering support as no one wants to be left in the dark and the support has gotten us through it all 🙂
