@Lisa229 I havent once been told about the 21st october being a date for delivery, the guy did slip up earlier though and said something about the 10th october so im not sure if that means something or not

Hi first time post. I been reading this thread since the 19th it's so annoying now, I pre ordered @ 1:09, got confirmation I will receive my phone on the 20th. Got a text on the 19th saying I will receive it by the 4th October just been stuck on coming soon. 😞

@ConZ94 Isn't it so bad? I didn't get a text or anything and loads of people have had their dispatch emails

Pre ordered iPhone 16 Pro Max White 512GB on 13SEP with an expected delivery date of 20SEP and just like everybody else, I received not one but two obligatory text messages on 18SEP stating....
"Hi. We expect your iPhone 16 Pro Max to be delivered by 27 September 2024. We'll email you a day before it's delivered. Thanks for your patience."
Been periodically checking my emails and texts today and absolutely nothing from Sky! Very naughty!
So....after phoning them and explaining the issue, an agent has told me that my order is currently being processed at the fulfilment centre and to expect it to be delivered by the end of the week.
When I pointed out that the end of the week IS tomorrow, he then stated that there's a 90% chance of it being delivered tomorrow and a 10% chance of it being delivered by Saturday.
When I mentioned that I have been with Sky for over 15years and I have a number of handsets with them and I was disappointed that I have not received any text or email from them yet, I was told that he would 'have a word with his manager' and prioritise the order. Yeh, okay!
As many others have mentioned previously, we all know that Apple are having issues with their deliveries but to not be kept updated is a Sky problem and is either lazy, rude or both.

I've just had a full on row with this lady. I apologised and said it wasn't her fault but I am not impressed at all.

She's gone to speak to her manager. She told me that the people who got their dispatch deliveries aren't from sky😂😂😂

I've just come off the phone to a very friendly member of sky. They were very apologetic, apparently it's Apples fault, there's an issue with supply. No news on my delivery date (aside from the fact that it won't be tomorrow as I was originally advised)
I've had a couple of quid knocked off my sim contracts as a goodwill gesture. 🙃

Come on ladies and gents, Think we all just need to have a bit of a breather, the delivery problems aren't the Sky employees faults. Lying to you well yes that is their faults but I'm 101% sure that they are getting absolutely bombarded every single day by thousands in the same position ask yourselves would you also be saying anything that ends the relentless endless messages and calls? At the end of the day it all boils down to the fact Apple put a product out and didn't have enough back stock to fulfill the demand (they do the same thing every year) I've ordered a phone from here and a phone from EE and it's exactly the same situation across both companies.
I get it you've all ordered nice new shiny mobile phones, some of you need them desperately, some of you do not. But things could be a lot worse.. my wife is waiting on a delivery of a blood glucose machine that has been promised for over 2 weeks now and still hasn't shown up, now that is something worth stressing over!
believe me when I say (having gone through this year in year out) your phones won't take another 4 weeks to come. They will be with you soon and generally speaking once they start to drop in it flows nicely .. personally I think it's apples way of not wasting money in production, they only produce so many phones, wait for all the orders to come in , see how much demand there is then start really pumping the phones out as fast as possible that's why you get a sudden rush of devices all at once a couple weeks after release day in general.
Stop getting mad at call centre agents or live chat agents that are more than likely sat in a third world country getting paid less a day than what we would spend on a cup of tea and a sandwich. They will be dealing with 100s of chats at a time, 1000s of customers and don't have any real information to share with you other than trying to tell you what you want to hear.
trust me when I say a call centre agent in Pakistan or India is not going to have any real clue about the logistical delays of skys supply chain in the UK and even if you manage to get through to the call centres in Leeds or Glasgow or livingstone they are still going to have the same problem, it's not going to be like they can just pop downstairs and check the stock levels, they will have the same access to information that the sky website pulls through regarding stock. It's all automated.
Hopefully you can all chill out keep a smile on your faces and build up that excitement for your new phones coming and if you think it's bad that other people are getting theirs before you then just wind them up when your battery percentage is on more than theirs because your phone is newer 🤣
