Sky Go showing error message asking for Upgrade to Subscription

I left Sky last week and rejoined this week, remaining on Sky Q. Sky Go worked for years on both my iPhone and iPad and now doesn't. Nothing has changed at my end. When trying to watch live tv I'm getting an error message asking me to Upgrade my Subscription. My rejoining subscription is identical to when it last worked.

Strangely I can record to my Sky Q box via Sky Go so there is connection between the two so surely it recognises my subscription to permit that action!
My Sky Account is linked to Sky Go, I've deleted and reinstalled the app, switched devices and Sky Q off and on, read the forum which indicates this was a known problem to Sky in January and was fixed. Checked all internet and wifi connections (all ok).

Sadly it's not fixed for me so I would welcome some assistance please. All very frustrating losing a facility that worked fine for years when the only change is cancelling Sky and rejoining.

Re: Sky Go showing error message asking for Upgrade to Subscription

For the past several weeks, whrn I tried  to use Sky Go app on my laptop it would stop when it is updating.

It works on my android dervices, but not on Window devices.

Sky are refusing to inform Clients that there is asn ongloing situation.

Where we go from here is asnyone's guess?

Thanks for your reply Mike. It looks like there nay be more than one issue with Sky Go as I'm sure a fix for my problem won't help you at all.

Re: Sky Go showing error message asking for Upgrade to Subscription

It seems it's a mobile device problem as the sky sports app is working fine via my mini box , but I keep getting asked to link my account ( on the I pad ) by signing in which I do but nothing changes.

Re: Sky Go showing error message asking for Upgrade to Subscription

Thanks for people's comments. The Sky representative tried for a couple of hours yesterday to fix the problem but to no avail. Let's see what today brings.

Interestingly I observed yesterday during trying things out, I can watch items from the Home screen which have the embedded "Play" button, such as Latest News and Premier League Highlights. I can also send recordings to my Sky Q from the TV Guide page. So some things are working. I just can't watch live tv from the TV Guide page.

Thanks Rodrigo, yes that photo is the exact same error message I'm getting. However, I've just logged onto Sky Sports app on my iPad and it works fine.
