not sure i quite understand this
if theres an issue with your processor not being recognised by windows then you would have bigger issues with your computer than just skyGo crashing
your processor information can be found under Task Manager, MSInfo, Dxdiag and Settings > About..
more details here
https://www.howtogeek.com/413942/how-to-see-what-cpu-is-in-your-pc-and-how-fast-it-is/
if processor details are missing from Settings>About this is more likely to be just cosmetic than an actuall issue
if processor details are missing from 2 or more of the other locations then yes theres something more going on with your computer that needs to be fixed. which is beyond the scope of this thread and probably these forums

Well see i dont have no problem with any other apps ,or anything else.
24 Jul 2024 04:08 PM
yes your right i would have bigger issues, but its only sky go,see when u phone sky up,you get difent answers ,now the other day i was talking to someone there and that sky person said,my firewall was blocking it,i checked it,it wasnt, now today talking to someone else he says its the prosessor,so really its a waste of time phoning sky up,i dont really have a clue what it is,all i know that its only affecting sky go.

that would be because the people who are supposed to be providing support dont have a clue about the systems theyre supposed to be supporting..
the only issue with your cpu that could possible cause issues with sky go not working would be compatability.. however if it was a compatability issue and it was working in the days\weeks prior your post then i would suspect its not a cpu compatability issue.
looking at skygo system requirements the only thing listed is the OS and win10 is supported by skygo.. there is no mention that i can find of minimum requirements for memory or cpu

yes but when i put the troubleshooter on,it says its compatible to windows 8,but it doesnt say windows 10
24 Jul 2024 08:41 PM
yep, just tried running the sky go install on a win10 VM and if you run the compatibility troubleshooter on either the installer or the skygo app itself it will advise "settings applied to sky go, windows compatability mode windows 8".. skygo will not run in win8 compatibility mode
as mentioned previously delete the device(s) from the sky accounts and try again, if youve already reached the maximum removals\registration this month youll either need to wait or ask sky support to remove the devices..
NOTE to others having issues with skygo failing to install.. change your DNS servers to google DNS (8.8.8.8\ 8.8.4.4) then run ipconfig /flushdns

ive just tried again to delete it,it came up sorry but cant delete it at the moment
25 Jul 2024 12:19 PM
It wont let me delete it,when i spoked to sky yesterday,i said im paying for a service im not getting,so the sky person said no your not because sky go was a free service with your package anyway,so i said yes but without sky go,ive hardly got anything to watch daily on sky, only whats in the tv listings each day,and that dont give u much choice, and if this dont get sorted out,you wont get your next monthly payment which is due by the 8th of august.

@sweetheart4321 the on-demand/catchup library on Sky Go is the same content available on the on-demand/cathup areas on Sky Q and Sky Glass/Stream. All Sky Go does is allow you to watch that content ( and a percentage of the live channels) whilst you are on the move and out of your house. The contract you are paying for is for your primary Sky TV system whether it be Sky +, Sky Q or Sky Stream and withholding payment would put you in breach of contract, would add late fees and would lead to services being restricted and the debt potentially passed on to a debt collection agency, all of which would negatively impact your credit rating.

I have a Sky+HD box and CAN watch boxsets/Catchup/etc...you just need to connect your box to your broadband router! You don't need a Q box to take benefit of an Internet connection! 🙄
25 Jul 2024 02:28 PM
well see sky told me you cant do that with an hd box ,they said you have to have a q box,so how do i do it then.
