I have a new Mac M3 and have done a new (clean) install of Sky Go using the link on the Sky site. Every time it opens, I get the 'Unable to connect 001 Error' message.
I've noticed others have had the same issue, but Sky seem to think it's all sorted now? It really isn't!
I've even tried without any security such as antivirus or firewall, but nothing sorts it!
Please help!

A follow up having spoken to Apple's Senior Support, they found me a proper fix.
For anyone still seeing this issue - please try the following:
1, From your desktop, select Go from the top toolbar
2, Press and hold the Option key on your keyboard **This is really important - it allows you to access folders on your Mac's Hard Drive rather than your user folder**
3, Select Library
4, Open the Application Support folder
5, Find the Sky Go folder
6, Move everything IN the Sky Go folder to your trash. **Don't take the enclosing folder, just its contents** - anecdotally, incase it helps somone identify the contents, the first folder/file in this folder for me is called "blob_storage" and the last is "WebStorage"
7, No need to empty your trash bin, just restart your Mac
When you next open Sky Go you should be given the option to select cookies and then log in.
Other advice I've found suggests searching for ~/Library folders - it may be a setting on my Mac or an update, but this opens up the Library folder within my user account, not the Hard Drive.
Hope this save someone months of frustration.

Thanks for this super easy fix, it took me al of 30 seconds and now sky go is working on my M3 Mac Air

@Psych22mind Glad you're all set up and working.
I would add that I have no affiliation with Sky abd am certainly not employed by them - just another user who spent weeks tearing their hair out.

Thanks for this, worked perfectly once I realised that you had to select GO from Finder tool bar as I was in sky go and obviously this option was not available in that tool bar.

Sky Go not working on Macbook Air (M3, 2024 Sequoia 15.3)
I have reinstalled the Sky Go app from Sky.com. After launching the following error screen appears:
No matter however often I click "Try again", I get the same error message.
I am using a Macbook Air (M3,2024 Sequoia 15.3)
Advice please Sky Team.

Excellent advice! This has worked for me - thank you.
Needs to be posted somewhere obvious so that anyone with this problem gets to see it because I stumbled on the post by chance.

I have an M4 Pro Mac running Squoia 15.3 and no matter how many times i uninstall Sky Go im getting this error.

i don't understand. at which point to you press "options" i get no library option just remove from tool bar etc....
