There was a problen opening the app, Error [-20190000] please restart the app and try again. Below message says Retry but that doesn't work.

Hello all,
in Germany, some customers also had a similar error.
It turned out that Android System Web View was not up to date.
After updating Android System Web View via Google Play and restarting the phone/tablet, Sky Go could be started again.
Maybe it will help some of you too.

Looks like an uninstall of the System Android Webview and a reinstall did the trick for me

Where is the system web view? Is this part of the settings already?

Found how to update the webview on Samsung Tablet (instructions below), and have updated the webview, but the error is still appearing. Uninstalled the Sky Go app again, reinstalled etc and still the error appears! Thank you for the help, but any other suggestions to get the app working?
1. Open Settings. Go to Applications.
2. Select Chrome. Disable Chrome.
3. Open Play Store and search for Android System WebView. You should now be able to update it.
4. After updating, open Settings, choose Applications, Chrome and reactivate Chrome again.
5. Restart.

Hi,
My sky go isn't loading keep getting getting error message There was a problem starting the app. Error [-20190000]. Please restart the app and try again. I've tried deleting the app and reinstalling, nothing seems to be working. Any advice?

1. Samsung Galaxy S10
2. Android Version 12
3. I only have My Sky
4. Have uninstalled the above, still getting the same error on running Sky Go
5. Removed Sky Go account but still having the error
6. In summary, still having the error on running Sky Go.
Appreciate the reply, though, Kirsty. Hope some solution comes to light.

I'm having the same problem (Samsung phone) and have tried all the reinstall/restarr steps - does anyone have the solution? App is working fine on other devices in the house.
