Seeing how the majority of other customers (myself included) have had the issue fixed with the latest version working on 14.6 I'd suspect it is a completely different problem you are suffering from.

I'm not sure they've updated the version numbers but they have updated the installer that you download from the sky website.
When you do Get Info on the installer it will be v1.1.0 (same as before) but make sure the Created time is 20:33
on 3nd August. If it is then install it, if not clear your browser cache or use private browsing and download it again

Sorry 20:33 on 2nd August

I too have come to that conclusion now. I will try talking direct with Sky. I have been with them from Bskyb time over 30 years so I hope they will help me.

I am on Mac OS Sequoia Beta.
Having downloaded today's OS update, and deleted all traces of the Sky Go App, if I download the App from Sky and install it, it works. They have at last fixed it.
Just in time for the football.

Hi I have just purchased a new MacBook M3. Tried to install sky go; installer appears, the down load commences and completes but then just disappears. Is this the same problem or just my incompetence in using the computer?
By the way, sky go still working on my old 2019 macbook.

Go to finder, look in your Downloads folder at the Sky Go Installer file you downloaded, right click and select Get Info. If the created date of the installer file is not at least 02nd August 2024 at 20:33, you have the wrong version.
Open a new private browser window (or clear your cache) and go to the Sky website and re-download the installer and re-run the new version.

I have all the right up to date files but still won't connect. I am assuming it's now to do with not having Q or something blocking the app connecting to sky tv itself. I will now contact Sky direct then Apple as it's a new macbook air!

I am on Sequois Dev 15.1 on a new MacBook M3 and was having real trouble. I moved the Sky Go App to the correct folder, then uninstalled it and rebooted. I downloaded the Sky Go Installer (making sure it was the 2nd August Version), right-clicked the installer and ticked the Open in Rosetta box. It worked after that though I had to sign in again as I had manually cleared all the Sky Go files from:
~/Library/Preferences/
~/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Caches/
~/Library/Logs/
~/Library/LaunchAgents
~/Library/Cookies
~/Library/Group Containers

Could you update OS to Sonoma 14.6 ? might that help?

Same problem for me but I'm on windows 11. I haven't used skygo app before and wanted to use it on desktop so downloaded it. It installed but when I try to open it, it shows white box screen for 3 seconds and closes automatically. This happens everytime I open the app.
I've read many threads on this and tried all the things people have mentioned, deleting it, deleting the files and reinstalling. Made a new user account and installed on that, nothing works. I hope this gets fixed because I would like to use it on PC.

Now then, I have updated sonoma, I have deleted all files, I have deleted cache, I have reset my computer.
Guess what?
Yes your right it still does not work

Have you downloaded and run the new installer from
Sky's website dated 2nd August?

I have tried (and tried, and tried) all of the suggestions I can find on this discussion, but still get the error message Connecting your application - We're having problems connecting you. Please try again (001). Have I missed anything from you since 31st July? Thank you

Posted by a Sky employeeHi all
Thanks for your patience whilst we have worked to resolve this issue regarding Sky Go on Macs.
Last week, we implemented an update for Sky Go on Macs which resolved an issue stopping users from launching the application. Looking at the thread this last week we have noted a positive drop in user comments on this thread with most of the comments confirming the issue is now resolved for them.
If you are still experiencing any issues, please uninstall Sky Go fully from your MAC and complete a full reinstall. If this hasn't resolved your issue, please reach back out on the Community forum for further help by looking for a thread related to your issue or starting a new discussion. We will be closing this thread moving forward to avoid any other issues being mixed into this thread in future.
Thanks,
