Sky go app on Chromebook

I had a reponse from Sky Help Centre  saying "...that we are aware of this issue and are currently investigating this with the highest priority to find a resolution. We hope to have a fix out to customers in April (date to be confirmed). "

Hi all,

Great news, our release team have found a way to get a fix out tomorrow 10/03 instead of our next release in April🎊 Please make sure you're using the latest version of ChromeOS on their devices, and have the latest version of Sky Go (v22.2 and above) installed.

If you're having any issues after tomorrow please comment below, and it would also be handy for us to know ;

• Chromebook Make
• OS version and Sky Go Version
• Exact steps you complete before the crash
• Any error messages on screen
• And, anything else you may feel is relevant to know

I have just started to have the same issue after a chrome of update. Ridiculous that SKY cannot be bothered to resolve this issue. Unacceptable response from SKY

I have installed all updates on Chrome and sky go and as of 7.30am on 10/3 it is still not working!

Not working here either.

I've updated everything that I can and currently am running:

• Device: Lenovo Duet 
• Chrome OS: Version 99.0.4844.57 (Official Build) (32-bit) 
• Sky Go: 22.2.1.1 - shows last updated January 27 2022

Like everyone else I've been using my Chromebook to watch Sky and watch my recordings without any issues ever since I got my Chromebook. Then about 1-2 weeks ago it just stopped being able to watch anything. 

I'll check later to see if there's an update to the Sky Go app.

In terms of the people above talking about Sky Go on Windows11.

I tried that on my system yesterday and it worked without any hitches or issues.

Just reloaded sky go on my W11 computer and the problem of searching for update and then crashing still persists for me.

Updated everything and chromebook still not loading any sky programmes. Fix didn't work....not that surprised tbh
