I have a very early SKY Q box
when trying to watch a programme on Sky go it asked for my device PIN.
I know I have never set one up.
I followed all the instructions but when I get to parental controls there is no change 'your device pin code' tab only a change your pin which changes the box pin
I have done a softwae update bu nothing has changed.
Any advice?

Thanks for the reply but that is the box/TV pin (which has been changed) not the device pin.
Problem now solved as I could set it up from the device I was watching on. Lot of trouble to go through in the early hours of the morning 😀

Hi @jim8sky
Your Sky Q pin is usually the last 4 dits of your viewing card if you haven't changed it.
Your viewing card number is shown in the Home menu - Settings - System info

hi @jim8sky
I think the SKY go PIN is different to the box PIN
When I try watching GOT on SKY Go I get presented with the same prompt for a Device PIN & get an option to reset it (which needed a sign in to my online SKY account to do)

Just to clarify I was referring to changing whilst watching on SKY Go on the device (in my case an Android Tablet)

Thanks.
Going to my account I could not find that page.
Just tried again and no tabs take me to that page
Just shows how poor the help on the sky website can be.
The only place it would take me too was the full instructions but as said the tab is not on my skyQ box.

Another way to access it is via this link:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/tv/
Select Sky Go Devices > Change my Parental Control Pin.

The first link provided didn't work for me either, it returned Server Error. As did the link provided by Sky Help. And the link on the device itself,
Thankfully the last link provided here helped me, though that page is itself confusing - I selected my device and couldn't understand why there was no device PIN option. It was only afterwards when I scrolled to the bottom of the page that I found the link for parental controls.
It's a real shame that there Sky themselves don't read the forum and respond to the issues that people raise, in this case links that don't work, and unhelpful instructions in help.
