Re: HBO Activation Isues

I have tried mobile computer and TV,  I get either the email address is not found. or when I go through the Sky app, I click activate, it goes to HBO, then forwards to a black screen with a circling icon, which stops and nothing else happens.

Hello All

I'm having issues activating HBO Max this morning.

I go through all the prompts which state it's included as part of my subscription. Then go through the sign up process with a code sent via email. It then states it's activated but then goes to a sign in screen I can't get pass.

I have tried activating it via the my sky app & it's the same issue?

Also tried via the qr code & it's the same issue?

I have tried it on on my pucks & sky glass & it's the same.

Anyone else having sign up issues?

Thanks.

HBO Max upgrade costs

I can't believe it costs an extra £5 per month to upgrade to the standard option via sky when there is only a £1 price difference doing direct with HBO Max ?

Basic via sky £4.99 included, upgrade via sky £5? Saving a massive £1
Standard via HBO £5.99

If I want the ad free version of Netflix via sky it currently costs me £4 (£2 more from April)
Netflix direct £10.99

Why such a difference in savings between HBO and Netflix ?

Hey @slaters

HBO Max Standard with Ad's (Which isn't available with Sky) is £5.99 direct through HBO.

HBO Max Standard is £9.99 through HBO and only £5 if you upgrade with Sky.

Hope this helps.

Re: HBO Activation Isues

I have spoken with HPB support advocate, who managed to get it all sorted.  I went through the sky puck and followed the instructions to activate.  It took a few attempts to get it to work, but it got there.  I had to then create a new password to log in on other devices.

It all seems to be working fine now.

Re: HBO Max upgrade costs

There are actually 4 tiers available directly with HBO Max... Basic with ads (£4.99/Free with Sky) Standard with ads (£5.99/should be +£1) Standard (£9.99/+£5) Premium (£14.99/+£10) The trouble is that Sky doesn't seem to be offering the Standard with ads option which is ridiculous as it's bound to be the most popular. Hopefully it's just a glitch or oversight which will be corrected.

I'd recommend trying again later.

don't forget HBO Max has literally just launched today so their services are likely going to be under quite high demand as customers in UK and ROI sign up to the service.

Its not a glitch and i doubt its an oversight; it just isn't a tier that Sky can currently offer. ( perhaps for commercial reasons).

Re: Subject: HBO Max & TNT Sports via EE – Account Integration Question

I can log in with my Sky account and get TV and films, or log in with my EE account and get TNT sports but I can't get both via either account. Does anyone have any hints how to rectify this?
