@1888Celtic No you need a sky account in your name which will be created when you sign up
however if someone else in the same household already has a sky tv service you will not be able to order it on a separate account
the current account holder could order it and be responsible for any credit agreement but they would also have to switch there tv service to glass/stream if they have either sky Q or plus satellite subscription

Re: Glass tv
Hi @1888Celtic
Not sure what you mean not on bill? You can purchase at https://www.sky.com/glass
The loan repayment is 48 months but you can pay it off early. The channel line up and functionality is different to Sky Q so make sure you do your research. See: https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass and https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-glass-faqs as a starting point.
You can also visit a Sky store, retail stand or Currys.

Re: Glass tv
No there is already a sky account and account holder at your address. Either your partner needs to upgrade or cancel everything and you take a contact out in your name.

Re: Glass tv
@1888Celtic Does your partner currently have sky tv and broadband services on their account?
if they only have broadband on their account and no tv service then there is nothing stopping you from ordering a tv service on a separate account but you won't be able to add broadband to it
