Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

maybe they should actually do something about it by now, there have been requests since 2024 for the ability to remove items from continue watching, what if someone watches the first series of something and thinks the 2nd season is rubbish, and they keep seeing it displayed

@Skemptor I guess in that scenario it probably isn't seen as a major issue/bug, as eventually, if it remains unwatched, it will fall off the CW rail after a couple of months at most.

Yes, it's clearly not seen as a major issue.

Equally, why should only the major issues ever get fixed? There are many of us who are incredibly annoyed at these minor issues, which could be fixed. To see something stuck there for 2 months, for me, would irritate me greatly. I have to work around it by never looking there.

It would be nice if I could use it as intended, but I cannot do that unless and until I have a way to manually remove items.

Quite common for software development on active products. Priority will always go on new features that the business has deemed the product needs and also major bug fixes, which typically can lead to the minor bugs either never getting resolved or taking years for someone to get round to it

Yes it was partially rhetorical, but I made the case in the rest of the post 🙂

But yeah i agree its a bit stupid. I get having to prioritise things but when you have a community such as this for customer feedback and the most requested thing to fix is the continue watching rail, yet it is probably the one feature on the entire platform that constantly has issues, be it the inability to remove things, some shows on particular apps where the status doesn't track properly, or my favourite bug where old completed items just randomly appear back for a short period.

You won't get replies that quickly from the official complaints procedure. It can take up to 10 days to get a response and Sky have 6 weeks to resolve it.
