Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

I'm having the same issues and more.  I've got prime titles I have watched that won't go away, the progress bar doesn't progress.  5 sometimes plays, sometimes it doesn't.  Paramount shows don't appear

in the rail.  This is happening on my stream pick as well as on my glass

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

I'm having issues again aswell, I really wish they would just come out with an option to delete stuff off the continue watching rail. Mine is full of things that I have watched and won't disappear and even things that I haven't watched. Things I'm watching through ITV are skipping to the next episode at the end but it's actually the previous episode so I can't get rid of it. It's ridiculous how often these issues are occuring. When your paying almost £100 monthly you expect to get a good service not completely mediocre.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

Having similar issues AGAIN to what has already been mentioned above. how the hell can this issue keep happening? What literally feels like every single month, It will now probably take 2 to 3 weeks to fix the next month. Will be back here again.

Just bloody get rid of the continue watching Rail (for apps) problem sorted.

It keeps happening because the bugs causing it don't fix themselves on their own.

Getting rid of the feature is a novel way of dealing with it, and won't happen. Too many people like the feature.

Options are:

1. Fix the bug

2. Provide a way of manually removing items to work-around the bug.

Sadly, neither has happened for many years. Just so you are aware and don't get your hopes up.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

I'm totally fed up with it. I wish I hadn't swapped over from Sky Q as I had no issues at all with that but when I was renewing my contract the advisor said Sky Glass was much better. If it wasn't gonna cost so much to pay out the contract I would swap back over. I'm paying £95 a month and it feels a rip off for the constant issues faced. If Sky would just include an option to delete stuff it would be so much better, it surely can't be that hard to come up with something.

If you call Sky and explain the unresolved issues they will let you switch back to Sky Q without penalty. You'll need to sign up to a new 24 month Q contract, but there are plenty of people who have been released from Stream contracts for such problems.

Yes, but note that in this particular case, Sky Q also has the same issues with the "Continue Watching" feature.

Hi @MartinV I'm frequently cursing the Continue Watching rail and in particular the lack of a delete function but I certainly wouldn't like to get rid of it.  I had the issue you are experiencing earlier this evening and I rebooted my puck and it has been fine since then.

If you really don't want the CW rail you can turn it off by going to Data & Personalisation (sign into your MySky account first).  Turn OFF the toggle switch under the "Sky Glass Product Analytics, Personal Recommendations & Profiling" setting.  It can take a few hours to disappear.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

The Issue with the continue watching rail (specifically certain programmes remaining on it when the series or film has been watched in full & being unable to remove them even with the work around given by Sky) has been out there for a number of years now & still Sky have done absolutely nothing to resolve it. How do we escalate this issue because I am bored of raising the same problems with nothing being done. I have the first series of Sky glass & have since it first came out & I am still waiting for a valid answer to these problems

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues

I totally agree its ridiculous. Surely it wouldn't be hard to add a feature that allows to delete programmes from the CW rail. I know the recent survey they asked customers to complete focused alot on issues regarding the CW rail. Hopefully with all the feedback they would of got they might actually do something about it.

Due to the fact it's been a much requested feature since the platform launched my suspicion is that there is likely an architectural reason in how the platform was designed that hasn't made this so easy to implement. I may be wrong but based on my observations I think for some apps it pulls the CW content directly from an API exposed by that app, which is the reason if you delete something from say the Netflix CW rail it pretty quickly gets reflected on the Sky one, but as not all apps expose this data or allow the removal of items from their own CW rail, the way it pulls the data through is different for each app it integrates with.
