Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Is anyone else having issues while watching Sky Glass. When I'm putting something on after a few seconds it's taken me to my home screen when I'm not even pressing anything. It's doing it when I'm watching something on the apps aswell.

I have had nothing but issues for months, they aren't interested just keep spouting the same drivel !
This morning there is a 'technical fault', done all the resets, turned it on and off to no avail
This whole system is a pile of !
Sky has become a joke !

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Can we please have an up to date response ? Plenty of people have the same complsint(s) with CW rail but Sky do not appear interested in helping to fix it. If you cannot fix the issues then at least let us know then we can decide whether or not to just ditch Sky or persevere with a very poor service....

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Netflix is normally the easiest to remove. Go into the Netflix app and ensure the item you don't want isn't on the continue watching rail within the app and remove from there as required. Within Netflix return to the homescreen and then my list and check the item has cleared. When returning to Sky it should remove pretty quickly.
Another tip is when removing items from the Sky CW rail pop into playlist and back out as this does refresh and update CW.
I've also found in my Sky app turning off personalisation for 2 mins and then back on refreshes the connection to the Sky server and again updates the CW rail.
Like everyone the frustration around CW is beyond bonkers and Sky have no comment, no interest so it relies on customer workarounds which is beyond reasonable.
I've done so much work in this area I tend to be able to keep my CW rail clear but each application has its own method so far from ideal for the everyday user.
Your options really are be prepared to faff and face frustration, turn off the CW rail entirely, live with it or move on.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Done all of that previously & the only reason I got Sky Glass is for the CW rail having everything I'm watching in one place. Pointless having it otherwise. I'll see what Sky come back with & then decide but seeing as I've had glass since it came out it might be time to bin it & try another provider

Yes it's a shame that CW is so neglected. If tracking is a must then Apple TV is outstanding for that and so easy to remove items no longer wanted. It tracks all UK apps plus manu others like Pluto, Tubi, Acorn, bfi, Mubi etc. It does track Netflix but separately from others due to Netflix restrictions.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
I've have an issue with my CW list, I keep getting BBC MOFTD, , FFW through that episode then next one & the next one keep appearing, then it goes back to the original match, it's driving me mad, same with Strictly, all the corresponding strictly episodes on BBC iPlayer appear
@Gincap is there's an easy way to solve this, if you put something on the Playlist does it automatically go onto your CW rail, thanks

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Entering items in playlist does not affect the CW rail so add away. Once an item is watched (not live tv) whether in playlist or not will start to populate on the CW rail and this is where issues arise. In your instance having watched Strictly on demand or watch from start it will now turn up for every consecutive episode in the series and you cannot stop this (this is a major issue ignored) and so you have to FF each time to clear it, you have done nothing wrong that is just how it works.
The only way to stop this is to turn off personalisation in the my Sky app overnight this will completely remove your CW rail. Turning it back on starts afresh but can take a week or so to start populating again.
There is no easy happy solution like a delete or remove option.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
Thanks, I'll give it a try, BBC iPlayer is the worst offender
I use Apple TV & their CW reel is far better that Sky Glass/Stream etc.,

The CW rail currently works exactly the same in Sky OS 2.0 as it does in 1.3.

Re: Continue Watching Rail Issues
@Yoghurt Just live with it or you'll go mad
@MarkGoldsmith From what I've seen and looked at Sky OS2.0 is basically a clean up project, refreshed layouts and menus but nothing fantastically new. Record feature has always been there just labelled now to make it perhaps a little more palatable. Such a shame opportunities not taken for some major updates over cosmetics.
Hopefully in time once live future updates will provide some of the features and stability we all long for, it's generally updates after a new build release that start to bring things together.
