Upgrade or change

Is there anyway to return or upgrade our sky glass?

we have a sky glass 43 inch tv, we want something bigger been shopping around and found some nice tvs that aren't sky but also would consider going to the 65 inch sky glass, but unsure if I was to get a non sky tv is there anyway we can return or cancel our sky glass payments as we are mid contract, is there a second hand market if we tried to sell it privately?

any help greatly appreciated

You own the TV from the moment you purchase it from Sky and can only return it within the first 31 days of purchase.

Plenty of second hand Glass TVs are sold on eBay but the second hand value of them isn't that great. Even if you sell the Tv, if you got in under a credit agreement from Sky instead of purchasing it upfront you will still need to pay off the remainder of the agreement.

How is it insane? That's what happens when you purchase a product under a credit agreement, you own it from day 1 and have to make the payments. If a product breaks that is what a warranty or extended warranties are for.

The television is paid for at the start.  Monthly contribution over either two or four years is to reduce the balance of the interest-free unsecured personal loan used to do so down to zero, and so that applies even if the hardware is no longer in operation.

That's the same for any big money purchase, unless you pay to extend the warranty.

Re: Upgrade or change

@Watters1234 you said you are mid contract... is that to pay off the Sky Glass and/or a Sky TV subscription?

The loan for the Sky Glass will have to be cleared, whatever you do with the Glass TV.

The TV subscription is another matter with respect to ending the contract.

This could work out rather expensive if you are mid contract with with your Sky TV subscription and want to cancel mid contract.
