@Ruby1312  Ok, but what is it you're wanting a community of fellow customers to do?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @Ruby1312  I'm assuming you are trying to do this online. If you already have a Sky account (HD+, Sky Q etc) you will not able to change to Glass or Stream account online as your existing account will need to be cancelled.  You will need to call Sky to make the changeover to Glass or Stream.

Re: Unable to upgrade to sky glas

Also moving from Q is not an upgrade, Glass is an entirely different system. Do your homework. No recording in the sense of recording as we know it and some channels unavailable.

IF you're into streaming and apps for viewing then worth trying it.

A good point @Gincap , in fact many people would say it is the opposite.  It's definitely a marmite product.

Personally I love the convenience of the Sky streaming platform and although I now have access to a communal satellite dish  I have not been tempted in any way to return to Sky Q.

Re: Unable to upgrade to sky glas

@Fothergill1

100% agree. Q became an excellent system but its days are numbered, Streaming is the future like it or not. Glass/Stream is more stable now but there are more features required especially around playlist and continue watching which are fundamental areas for streaming. We can only look forward to what comes next .

Oh and Talking Puctures TV need to be on the platform so they need to get their heads together and get a deal done.

Hi @Gincap Sky Stream/glass is by no means perfect but as you say it is getting more stable.I havn't had an issue for months that has not been resolved by a reboot.

Re: Unable to upgrade to sky glas

I have been a customer for 24 years straight.
My contract is coming to an end. I gave them notice 31 days before the end date.
When we couldn't agree a deal to renew and upgrade to Sky Glass( Sky Q no longer gives me the service I am paying for), Sky asked me to call back when the Black Friday deals go live.
I did this and agreed a deal, paid them the upfront costs and booked a delivery date.
For some reason, the new sign up  did not complete.
Despite Sky promising to ring me back to complete, no one called.
I called them back and we tried again, more money was charged to my card, but nothing completed.
I was promised a call back, didn't get one.
I called them, someone promised to call the next day. They said they were going to reserve my delivery date, even offered a £5 a month discount on my subscription for the inconvenience.
No one called the next day

I have spoke to around 10 Sky employees over the last couple of days.
A few have no idea about my case, some say they are going to sort it immediately then give up and transfer me to the wrong dept.

Today, someone told me they would sort it out if I paid £140 for the next month's bill, even though my contract ends in 10 days time.
I have had people telling me they cannot honour any previous offer and others telling me they were going to listen to previous call recordings.
I have no idea if anyone will ever help me.
Incredibly poor service, if anyone is in a similar position to myself, beware.
My bank statement still says pending, I have no idea if I have been charged twice.

Treated like this when all I want is to upgrade to get the reliability I have already paid for.
