Hello, i recently substribed to sky cricket during world cup as i got an add on my email to join for £12 a month and cancel any time. So i decided to give it a shot and called up to substribe, during the call i was offered to add sky cinema to my package as well which alos included two Vue cinema ticket but i was told that this would be 12 months rolling contract and i agreed to that.
Now that world cup is over an i called them to cancel sky cricket, i was told that as i took sky cinema it as well during my call the sales person sold it as a package with sky cricket and therefore to downgrade sky cricket i will still pay extra £5 a month.
I feel that i have been tricked and cheated upon by not being clear on the terms and the "cancel any time" for sky cricket was misleading add. This is wmy first year with sky and i feel that this is there mode of operation to trick people and get the profit by using the contract against what consumers subscribed for.
Looking forwrad to hear if this is a lost cause or is there something i can do about it?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Haroon85 if the ad was for the cricket alone and cancel any time was part of the offer then that in itself is not misleading
the onus is on the customer to ensure that any other changes made to their package at the same time doesn't impact the cricket offer

Hi Thanks for your reply. The fact that im not able to sky cricket with a penalty and that it is linked to my sky cinema is misleading. Below is the snapshot of the add. This was all done on the phone after seeing the below add and what i understood from the sky rep was that he wanted to offer Sky cinema as a seperate offer. But after the call today sky sees it as linked to the sky cricket offer.
Regards
Haroon

Hi, Thanks for you reply. I asked the rep for exactly that but he mentioned that he is not the one who can do that and then i asked him if he can help me to file the complaint for this and he said he cant do that either and i have to do it online which brought me to this forum.
