Well, just checked the latest build version on my Sky Glass TV and it is Q5034.023.04P and it has done NOTHING to sort out the lip sync problems!

My wife was watching Channel 4 and it was way out, infact, worse than before.

So well done Sky for sorting this months old problem out, NOT.

Just had an email from Sky informing me of my subscription increases from the 1st of April. Amazing how they can contact customers regarding this but not about the lip sync issue which in my case has been ongoing since November

The software update has not solved the issue with lip synch. It goes out of synch between programmes. This is not a broadband issue as I have fibre connected broadband with speeds of roughly 140/30. I would appreciate an update as this happens 3 to 4 times a day. Thanks.

Unfortunately the only update you will receive from Sky is the one that tells your your bill is going up

Yeah, I thought it was fixed when mistle watching low viewership events at Eurosport and such,  but Everton Man United broadcast is horrible. Goes massively out of sync every few minutes. 😭

Sky Glass worked fine when I first bought it. No lip sync issues for several months. My main watch is live sports.

 

Then after an update sometime last year I've seen constant lip sync issues every time I watch live sports after about half an hour I have to channel switch to sync up again.

 

Nothing my end changed the only change has been updates, clearly a Sky issue.

Standard Sunday lip synch issue on Sky Sports.  Disgraceful really.  

I am starting to think it's not fixable as it's been going on for months now.  What happens then?

Sky Glass Gen 1 owner,  I only have 1 question on sky glass gen 2, has anyone experienced the sound out of sync issue?

The lip/sync issue currently affects both some Gen1 and Gen2 Glass TVs. Sky are working on a fix.

I purchased a Gen 2 but sent it back a few days later. The sound did keep going out of sync when switching between apps and live channels. Really annoying and really shouldn't be happening on a TV which costs this much.

@AnnaB81 that is likely to be a software issue rather than a hardware fault, the same software is used across both gens

Or a Sky server issue. It happens on the Stream pucks too. I don't get any such issues on my new TV with Freely built in. I can watch something on Netflix, Disney+ or iPlayer then switch to a streamed Freely channel and everything remains in sync. 

I don't know if Freely use a similar server type system as Sky but it certainly doesn't have the same sound sync issues.

It does,. but as with Glass, not all Pucks are affected. I've not experienced lip/sync issues on either my Glass or Puck.
