Disgusting really that they have still not resolved this issue, especially as they have just launched the Gen 2.

 

Maybe they need to iron out the issues first before releasing an update version, with the same issue.

Yes I have experienced the exact same issue. This has been going on since I have had it. I purchased it for my son who is recovering from cancer treatment. So he was watching a lot of TV at home. Obviously it has been a big disappointment. Due to the extreme nature of time limitations at present, I haven't been able to address this with sky at present. But I will be contacting them shortly

Aside the updates, a quick fix can be to simply turn off and back on again with the remote. Often sync issues can be simply down to momentary bandwidth issues with the router.

Since received my replacement Glass Gen 1 on Monday not had any issues with lip sync or sound quality issues

Hi, did sky replace your TV free of charge? I spoke with a customer service representative and he wasn't helpful at all!

Anyone else had constantly reccurring internet connectivity issues with the TV since the update last week? It seemed to work fine for a few days, but it has just deterioated and the last two days everything loads slowly (menus, channels) and the last day the TV is beginning to complain about no internet available. The internet works fine on my PC, albeit slower than usual. I have tried resetting everything (router, that fibre box, TV, computer, phone, tried the online Service Checker). At what point are we getting discounts or refunds on bad service? 😝

I did notice last night after turning on the darts the synch went within a few minutes...switched channels and back and all was good rest of the night...thus was on one if the pucks as was down in mancave..

The update will be as described in the answered post for this thread.

 

Updates are sent out to customers in a phased approach, usually over a month or so period.

So some customers may only have just got the update or maybe awaiting it in that kind of timeframe.

@lettice gotcha. I assumed perhaps something else as the answer said "we expect all Sky Glass and Stream customers to have their new software by the end of January" but I guess that got delayed a bit.

Well I have been very patient with this crap and the introduction of gen 2 glass!! So it's been for me 5 months of this lipsync **bleep**e and no solution! Sky customer for 26 years and this is the service they deliver! Doesn't matter who you report this too they don't care!! Where do we go?
